Jazmine Moore is a 23-year-old upcoming artist from Winston Salem, NC. She loved art as a child, however, when told that “artists” don’t make enough money for a living that passion slowly faded. To keep her love for art from burning out, she took art electives throughout the school year in middle school and high school. In 2013, she graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School and became a new mom to a baby boy.
In 2014, she tragically lost her mother to domestic violence while she and her infant son were in their home. Driven by her strong grieving emotions from the loss of her mother she found herself slowly picking up the pieces of where she left off with her passion for art. The canvas slowly became her pathway to healing and happiness. She hopes that her art will inspire someone to love and follow their passion regardless of their circumstances or traumas.
This is how the name, Jazspire, was born. She now sells her paintings online, and she hopes to one day have her artwork displayed in museums. Most of her artwork is urban and her favorite medium to work with is acrylic on canvas. Her daily mantra for her craft is “paint with purpose, passion, and love”.
